Bangladesh registered 57 Covid-19 deaths in the 24 hours till 8:00 am on Friday, which is the lowest daily death toll since April 5 when 52 deaths were reported, according to a release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services.
With the new deaths, the toll of Covid-19 fatalities rose to 11,450 in the country.
Besides, 2,177 people tested positive for the virus in the 24 hours bringing its tally to 759,132.
The total number of recoveries rose to 681,426 with 4,325 more people got cured during the same period, said the DGHS.
Bangladesh is currently observing a nationwide lockdown which will continue till May 5 to tackle a second wave of the virus pandemic.
