The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Detective Branch is suspecting that Fardin Noor Parash – whose body was found floating on river Shitalakhya on November 7 – may have committed suicide.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday in Dhaka, Additional Commissioner of DB Harun Or Rashid made this statement, “A close scrutiny of the matter indicate that the Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) student may not have been murdered.
“There is suspicion that he might have committed suicide.”
Meanwhile, on the same day, the Rapid Action Battalion’s (RAB) media wing informed reporters that RAB has received important information and made progress centring on the death of BUET student Fardin.
RAB is scheduled to hold a briefing on the issue at their media centre in Karwan Bazar around 7:30pm Wednesday, sources said.
