Deaf Council of Bangladesh distributed Eid gifts and watermelons among 50 deaf people at a function followed by an executive committee meeting at its office in the city.
In the meeting, a decision has been taken to hold the annual general meeting soon, said a press release on Tuesday.
Another decision of observing the World Autism Day and organizing a cultural function as well as a fair for the deaf people have also been taken in the meeting.
Deaf Council of Bangladesh President Ataur Rahman presided over the meeting, while Vice-Presidents Abdur Razzak and Shawkat Hossain, Joint General Secretary Golam Mominul Alam Chowdhury, Treasurer Rawshan Ara Khanam Lily and members Riad Khan, Shamim Kawser Ahmed, Harun-Or-Rashid, Nuruzzaman Ranzu joined the meeting.
General Secretary of the council Mohammad Aslam Khan moderated the meeting and the gift distribution function.
