Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque has said that death rate from coronavirus is still very low in Bangladesh. The number of deaths is still low due to measures taken by the government under supervision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he said.
He made the remark on Saturday afternoon while joining the virtual inaugural function for Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College & Hospital which will now work as ‘Covid-19 Hospital'.
“Our hospitals were prepared for coronavirus patients. All the hospitals are now treating coronavirus patients. Many private medical colleges have come forward to treat patients as well,” Zahid Maleque said.
“We will provide whatever assistance is needed from the government," he said.
