A Dhaka court on Tuesday rejected a bail plea of a TikTok influencer named Opu and sent him to jail in a case filed over fight in the capital’s Uttara area.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahmuda Akhter passed the order.
On Monday, a case was filed against Apu, eight of his aides and 20-25 unnamed persons with Uttara East Police Station over the incident.
Apu, 20, known among his fans as ‘Apu Bhai’, makes video contents on online apps ‘TikTok’ and ‘Likee’ which brought him to social media fame.
