Dhaka outskirts to see gas supply disruptions Thursday

Gas supplies will remain suspended on both sides of Dhaka-Aricha highway for eight hours – from 12pm to 8pm on Thursday due to an emergency replacement and removal of gas pipeline.

The areas that will see the eight-hour supply shutdown include including Savar municipal area, Bhatpara, Jaleshwar, Rajashon, Kamalapur, Boliarpur, Konda, Hemayetpur, Fulbaria, Banktown, Bank Colony, Genda, Islampur, Falguni Housing, Nayarhat, Akran, Kaliakair, Gauripur, Khejur Bagan, Ashulia, Boro Ashulia, and Tongabari, according to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company.

The consumers in surrounding areas may experience low pressure in their gas supplies as well, the distribution company said.
