Dhaka-Singapore flights to resume on Oct 20

Dhaka-Singapore flights are to be resumed from Oct 20 after a break of seven months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sinapore Airlines will carry passengers every Tuesday and Thursday on its Airbus A350-900 aircraft, the airline said in a statement on Thursday.

According to the decision of the Singapore government, passengers won’t need Covid-19 negative certificates to go to the country. But after reaching , the local authorities would conduct immediate Covid-19 tests of the passengers at the airport. Later, the will be taken to hotels where the passengers have to stay quarantined for 14 days. For this, per passenger would have to bear an additional ammount of 1.5 lac taka.

Dhaka-Singapore passenger flights are being suspended from March.

But Singapore Airlines has been operating passenger aircraft carrying cargo flights on the Dhaka-Singapore route since May 18 to facilitate international trade.
