Dhaka University professor Dr Shakil Uddin Ahmed died of Covid-19 on Sunday.
He was a professor at the Department of Soil, Water & Environment at Dhaka University.
The professor was admitted at Green Life Hospital of the capital after being tested positive for coronavirus. According to hospital sources, he breathed his last at 7 pm on Sunday evening
