Dhaka WASA MD Taqsem’s contractual appointment terminated

Dhaka WASA Managing Director Taqsem A Khan's contractual appointment has been cancelled. The Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.

Dhaka WASA will start the process to appoint a new managing director within the shortest possible time, and until then, the senior most deputy managing director will perform duties of the managing director, read the notification.

Taqsem was appointed Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) managing director in October, 2009 and his tenure was extended for seven times.

His tenure was last extended on October 14, 2023 for three years.
