Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday arrested 46 people on charges of selling and abusing drugs during an on-going anti-narcotics drives in the capital.
DMP Deputy Commissioner (DC-media) Walid Hossain confirmed the matter on Saturday.
During the drives, police recovered 5,525 pieces of contraband yaba tablets, 50 grams of heroin, 9 kg 790 gram hemp and 190 bottles of Phensedyl from their possessions, said Walid Hossain.
A total of 33 cases were filed with different police stations under the Narcotics Control Act in these regards.
