Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman on Sunday received the Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) 2023 Best Organiser Award.
The award giving ceremony was held in the Grand Ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel.
He was awarded for his significant contribution to the promotion of the national game Kabaddi as the general secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation.
BSPA President Rezwan-Uz-Zaman Rajib presided over the event as the guest of honour.
Parliamentary Standing Committee on Youth and Sports Ministry and former State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell and Square Toiletries Limited Managing Director Anjan Chowdhury.
DMP commissioner in his speech said, “Kabaddi is our National game. As a General Secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation not only in our country I want to see our National flag to be hoisted in international fields."
