Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 43 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs during the ongoing anti-narcotics drives from the capital in the last 24 hours till 6am on Saturday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (DC-media) Walid Hossain confirmed the matter on Saturday.
During the drives, police recovered 2,048 pieces of contraband yaba tablets, 260 grams of heroin, 700 grams of 15 puria hemp and 7 bottles of Phensedyl from their possessions, said Walid Hossain.
A total of 32 cases were filed with different police stations under the Narcotics Control Act in these regards.
