Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 776 cases and imposed Tk 35,6,500 as fine in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.
The cases were filed and a fine was imposed on September 23, a DMP statement said on Tuesday, reports BSS.
During the drive, a total of 60 vehicles were impounded and 40 others towed, while Tk 7,93,600 cash was collected as fine during the drives from people who violated the traffic rules.
The DMP release further said these drives will continue to bring discipline on Dhaka’s streets.
