The Dhaka North City Corporation (DSCC) has fixed 256 spots for slaughtering sacrificial animals during the upcoming Eid ul-Azha.
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam made the disclosure at an online meeting attended by the city corporation officials on Saturday (July 25) morning.
In the meeting, the mayor urged people to slaughter sacrificial animals only in the fixed spots.
Atiqul Islam directed the officials concerned to ensure safe disposal of waste, blood and leftovers after the slaughters.
However, the DNCC has 250 imams for halal slaughtering of sacrificial animals on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha slated to be celebrated on August 1 in Bangladesh.
