A total of six cattle markets will be set-up by the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) ahead of Eid-ul-Azha scheduled to be celebrated later this month.

Five of the markets will be makeshift ones while the other will be permanent in Gabtoli.

The makeshift markets will be set up in Uttara sector-17 (from Brindaban area to BGMEA Bhaban), Kawlar-Shialdanga (near airport), DNCC ward-43 (near Purbachal bridge and Dumni Bazar), Vatara-Sayed Nagar cattle market and Moynartek Housing Project in Uttarkhan.

DNCC issued a press release in this regards today.

However, the markets will be operational for five days only including the Eid day.

The leaseholders have been asked to install thermal scanners at the entry points of the markets, reads the press release.
