Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) Director General Bablu Kumar Saha and three other officials of the directorate has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
“DG sir has tested positive. Samples of more other officials have been collected for the virus test,” DNCRP Assistant Director Md Abdul Jabbar told The Business Post Monday (May 18) evening.
Preferring anonymity, another official of DNCRP said that Deputy Director Atia Sultana and Assistant Directors Shahnaz Sultana and Rajobi Nahar Rajoni have tested Covid-19 positive.
Earlier on Wednesday, Deputy Director of DNCRP's Dhaka divisional office Monjur Mohammad Shahriar himself confirmed media that he was infected with the same virus.
