Don’t want to see anyone outside during lockdown: IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed has said people will need to carry movement passes to move from one place to another during nationwide lockdown.

He said that he does not want to see anyone outside without a valid reason and a movement pass issued by the police. 

He made the remarks while launching the "Police Movement Pass" apps at Rajarbagh Police Lines on Tuesday. The pass holder will be able to move on the road without any interruption. 

Around 1,25,000 applications were submitted on the first hour of launching the "Police Movement Pass" apps in Bangladesh, police headquarters informed on Tuesday afternoon. 

Data shows, around 15,000 appications were submitted per minute on the first hour of launching of the apps.
