Prime Minister’s personal physician Professor Dr ABM Abdullah has contracted coronavirus.
He was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka. However, his physical condition is stable now.
Despite having mild fever and cold for five to six days, he was taking time thinking of common cold-fever, Dr Abdullah said.
As his physical condition deteriorated on Tuesday, then he let the Covid-19 sample be tested. The result revealed that he was tested Covid-19 positive. To avoid health risk, Abdullah was admitted to a city hospital yesterday.
The professor of medicine said his physical condition is now well as he has no breathing problem or any other complication.
Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Prof Abdullah has been playing an important role in creating public awareness and providing constructive advice in tackling the epidemic in the country.
He also provided necessary treatments to the Covid-19 patients or suspected ones through mobile phone.
