Dr Farid Hossain Miah has been appointed as the new director (hospital) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The Health Ministry on Thursday issued a gazette notification in this regard.
Besides, former director Dr Md Aminul Hasan has been made an officer-on-special-duty (OSD) amid controversy over various irregularities in the health department in dealing with Covid-19 pandemic.
