Dr Forhad Zahid Shaikh has addressed a workshop to implement the vision of Smart Bangladesh in the presence of senior professors from 46 public universities.
The workshop on "Smart Bangladesh Construction" was held on Thursday at the conference room of UGC, reads a press release.
This workshop was held In the presence of about 160 senior professors (VC/Pro-VC/Treasurer/Dean) of 46 public universities and directors of 10 departments of Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) and Dr Md Fakhrul Islam, Director, RSP Division, UGC and organized by the Innovation Committee.
Professor Dr Md Sajjad Hossain, Honorable Member, UGC was present as the chief guest in the workshop.
Dr Ferdous Zaman, Secretary, UGC was present as a special guest and Md Noor-e-Alam, Joint Secretary and Innovation Focal Point, Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Education, were present as experts.
Forhad Zahid Shaikh, Chief e-Governance, A2I, as Information and Communication Technology Department and Mirza Mohammad Didarul Anam as Education Specialist.
In the workshop, Dr Forhad Zahid Shaikh focused on The importance of smart transformation of UGC and universities for the purpose of building a smart Bangladesh, the role and increasing the technical skills of students in building smart citizens and smart society, encouraging research and innovation, various initiatives of UGC (policy determination, funding, project implementation) as a helper in achieving the goals of Smart Bangladesh and also gave valuable comments and suggestions through detailed presentation through power point presentation on related topics.
