The University of Dhaka has decided to hold the first-year honours admission tests under 'Gha' or D unit, under the social science faculty, from the 2021-2022 academic year.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the university’s dean's committee in the lounge adjacent to the university's vice-chancellor's office on Wednesday.
Professor Zia Rahman, dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, confirmed the matter to The Business Post.
The decision come just a week after DU authorities announced that it will not take admission tests for the D unit separately this year.
Earlier in 2020, DU Deans' Committee decided to abolish abolishing separate admission tests for the D unit.
