A warehouse of a dyeing factory was gutted in a fire at Pagar in Tongi area of Gazipur district on Sunday.
“The fire broke out at Hossain Dyeing and Printing Mills Ltd warehouse around 1:30pm and spread soon,” Senior Officer Tongi Fire Service and Civil Defense Iqbal Hasan said.
On information, five firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after one and a half hour of frantic effort.
Cotton fabrics were gutted in the fire.
However, what caused the fire could not be known immediately.
