A court in Dhaka placed three people, including e-orange owners — Sonia Mehzabin and her husband Masukur Rahman — on five-day remand each in a case filed for embezzling Tk 1,100 crore.
Another accused is the e-commerce platform’s chief operating officer Amanullah.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Morshed Al Mamun Bhuiyan passed the order after the investigating officer of the case sought 10 days to grill each of the accused.
Md Taherul Islam, on behalf of aggrieved customers, filed the case against five officials of E-orange with Gulshan police station on June 16.
The accused are Sonia Mehzabin, Masukur Rahman, Amanullah, Bithi Akhter, and Kawsar.
