The Election Commission (EC) has withheld the gazette notification of the results of by-elections to Lakshmipur-3 and Brahmanbaria-2 due to allegations of irregularities.
The commission will investigate the allegations and a decision will be taken based on the probe report, said EC Secretary Md Jahangir told reporters at Nirbachan Bhaban in the city's Agargaon on Tuesday afternoon.
The voting was held in the two constituencies on Sunday last.
