The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved 10 projects involving around Tk 9,460.9 crore.
The approval was given at a meeting of the ECNEC held at the NEC conference room in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Sunday. Prime Minister and ECNEC Chairperson Sheikh Hasina from her official residence Ganabhaban attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The approved projects include: “Increase Fish Production through Water Resources Reform (2nd Amendment)” a project under the Ministry of Fisheries and Animal Resources; Ministry of Water Resources project to protect Sadar, Rajnagar and Kulauraupazilas of Moulvibazar districts from erosion of Manu river; 3 projects under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, respectively.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal; Planning Minister M. A. Mannan; Agriculture Minister Md. Abdur Razzak; Information Minister. Hassan Mahmud; Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Md. Tajul Islam; among others participated in the meeting.
