The government has decided on a three-day holiday for Eid-ul Fitr which might be observed on May, 14 (Friday).
So, the public holiday will span for three days, starting from Thursday. Offices are asked not to allow a holiday more than this period.
Cabinet secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam made the announcement in a press briefing on Monday.
The government and non-government organisations can’t allow their staffers to enjoy a leave for more than three days on the occasion of Eid-ul Fitre which is the biggest religious festival for the Muslim community.
