With Wednesday being a public holiday on the occasion of holy Lailatul Qadr and Thursday a day off by executive order, government officials and employees have already started enjoying the five- or six-day-long Eid holidays.

The main Eid holidays are from April 21 to 23 if the month of Ramadan ends on the 29th day, depending on the moon sighting. If Ramadan continues for one more day, the holiday will also extend by another day.

Tuesday was the last working before Eid-ul-Fitr and officials and employees were seen exchanging greetings among themselves at the end of the day.

All offices will reopen on April 24 if Eid is on April 22, or on April 25 if Eid is on April 23, according to a notification of the Ministry of Public Administration on April 10.
