The National Moon Sighting Committee has announced that the moon of Zilhajj month was not visible in the sky of Bangladesh, so the Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated in the country on August 1.
The committee came up with the decision on Tuesday evening at a meeting held in the capital's Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
On Monday, Saudi Arabia's Supreme Court announced that the Day of Arafat will fall on Thursday, July 30, and the Eid Al-Adha will be celebrated on Friday, July 31.
Besides, July 22 will be the first of Dhu Al Hijja that marks the start of this year's Hajj season, which will be limited to only 10,000 pilgrims from within the Kingdom due to the coronavirus pandemic.
