Eight members of a family including a child were killed when the microbus carrying them plunged into a roadside pond in Phulpur upazila of Mymensingh Tuesday morning.
Mymensingh Fire Service Deputy Director Pannat confirmed the news to The Business Post.
The deceased could not be identified immediately. Of them, five are male and two female, he said.
Phulpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Imarat Hossain said the Sherpur-bound microbus fell into a pond in Phulpur area after its driver lost control of the vehicle around 7am Tuesday.
On information, police and fire service officials rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
