An elderly woman has been injured when a truck hit her at Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area on Thursday.
The injured, Arju Begum, 60, is an RMG worker.
“The woman is now undergoing treatment at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital,” Mohammadpur Police Station Sub-Inspector Shahidul Islam said while confirming the matter to The Business Post.
Earlier on November 24, a 17-year-student of Notre Dame College after being hit by a garbage truck of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) at Golchattar in the city’s Gulistan area.
Students of different colleges had been protested over the death of Naim in the tragic road crash and demanded road safety.
A reporter of ‘Daily Shangbad’ Ahsan Kabir, 46, was also killed after being hit by a DNCC garbage vehicle on November 23.
