Elections to 204 union parishads and the by-polls to Lakshmipur-2 constituency will be held on Monday.
As many as 173 union parishads will go to polls in Barishal division, while 13 union parishads in Madaripur district, six each in Gazipur and Lakshmipur, two each in Narsingdi and Sunamganj, and one each in Rangpur and Barguna.
Electronic voting machines will be used in the elections to 20 union parishads and Lakshmipur-2 by-polls.
The voting will start from 8:00am and it will continue till 4:00pm without any break.
Earlier, the Election Commission decided to hold the polls to 367 union parishads of the country in first phase. But, on June 10, the commission postponed polls to 163 union parishads due to the high infection rate of coronavirus.
Besides, as per the schedule, the municipality elections to Jhalakati Sadar and Setabganj (Dinajpur) will also be held on Monday, using the EVMs.
The Election Commission has already instructed the authorities concerned to hold the elections following the health guidelines.
