The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned Director of Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) Dr Asheafunnesa and four others on the allegations of embezzling 7 crore taka in the name of conducting a fake workshop, seminar and training.
A letter signed by Deputy Director of ACC Md. Salahuddin was sent on Thursday and asking them to be present at ACC headquarter on 13, 14 and 15 September.
Director Public Relations of ACC Pranab Kumar Bhattachariya confirmed the development to The Business Post saying that there are allegations of misappropriating 7 crore taka were under the pretext of workshop, seminar and training.
The other summoned persons are DGFP Deputy Director Zakia Akhtar, Abu Taher Md Sanaullah Nuri, Assistant Director AKM Rukunuzzaman and Research Officer Pijush Kanti Dutta.
ACC also wrote to DGFP Director-General asking for four categories of documents including documents containing details of the seminar, workshop and training.
