Major General (retd) Md Emdad Ul Bari has been appointed chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
According to a public administration ministry notification on Tuesday, Emdad has been appointed for a three-year term from the date of joining.
The notice added, “In accordance with Sections 7(1) and 9(2) of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Act, 2001, Major General (Retd) Md Emdad Ul Bari has been appointed as chairman in the BTRC with the condition of relinquishing employment with other institutions and organisations, in the management and administration category.
