Chief Adviser to the interim government Dr Muhammad Yunus on Monday asked all officials concerned to ensure an atmosphere of transparency and accountability in all ministries and divisions.

The youth of the country seeks a clean and fair working environment, so the ministries and divisions must begin activities immediately to make this goal a reality, he added.

Dr Muhammad Yunus made these calls at a meeting with senior secretaries and secretaries of 25 ministries and divisions under his portfolio.

At the meeting, chaired by Dr Yunus and held at the State Guest House Jamuna, senior secretaries and secretaries informed the chief adviser about the action plans of their respective ministries and divisions.

Addressing the meeting, Dr Yunus said, “The change that is coming through the power of youth has created an opportunity. Let us use this opportunity. All ministries and divisions should function better than the way we had been working, so that we can continue the work of the ministries and divisions.”

Public Administration Ministry Senior Secretary Mohammad Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury said Dr Yunus gave direct instructions on this matter.

About the meeting, Road Transport and Bridges Ministry Secretary ABM Amin Ullah Nuri said, “Chief Adviser to the interim government Dr Muhammad Yunus has emphasised the need for creating a transparent and accountable atmosphere, the resolving the issues brought up by the country’s young generation, who seeks a clean and fair working environment.

“The chief advisor asked us to implement his directives sincerely.”
