A Dhaka court has imposed a travel ban on e-commerce platform Evaly Chairman Shamima Nasrin and Managing Director (MD) Mohammad Russel from leaving the country.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge KM Imrul Kayes today issued the travel ban following a petition by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to bar the couple from going abroad as part of its investigation into the e-commerce platform's alleged cheating with customers.
ACC court inspector Aminul Islam confirmed the matter, saying the anti-graft watchdog had filed the petition on July 15 to bar the top officials of the e-commerce platform Evaly from leaving the country.
Metropolitan Senior Special Judge KM Imrul Kayes passed the order responding to the ACC petition.
