Former cabinet secretary Qazi Shamsul Alam died of neurological complications on Friday morning, at the age of 80.
Shamsul Alam, who had been suffering for a long time after a major brain surgery, breathed his last at 9:30am.
Alam is survived by his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers.
He was a member of the erstwhile CSP, batch 1964.
