A court here today showed former commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Asaduzzaman Miah arrested in a case lodged over the murder of garment worker Aziz in the capital's Uttara area during the recent anti-discrimination student-led mass movement.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Arifur Rahman passed the order as police produced him before the court after end of his seven-day remand in another case and pleaded to show him arrested in this case.
A team of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Asaduzzaman Miah from the Mohakhali area on September 11. He was produced before the court the next day.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam placed him on a seven-day remand in the case lodged over the killing of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leader Nuruzzaman Jony.
