Former member of parliament and one of the organizers of War of Liberation Al Haj Jamaluddin Ahmad died at a city hospital on Monday. He was 87.
Jamaluddin Ahmad breathed his last at 10:00am, while undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), according to his family members.
He was a close associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and contributed a lot to the development of his local area.
Jamaluddin left behind his three sons, three daughters and host of relatives to mourn his death. His first namaj-ezamaja was held at Tejtury Bazar Jame mosque after Asr prayers.
He will be buried with state honour at his family graveyard at Dhamrai at 10 am tomorrow after second namaj-e-zamaja there.
