Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested ex-lawmaker of Dhaka-13 constituency Sadek Khan from the city’s West Nakhalpara area on Saturday.
Sadek was nabbed in connection with a case filed at Mohammadpur Police Station, reads to a DMP notification.
Sources say on the night of August 4, 2018, SUJAN Secretary Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar hosted a dinner at his Mohammadpur residence, which was attended by Marcia Bernicat – the then US ambassador to Bangladesh.
Bernicat was attacked after she left the residence and got into her car. Sadek Khan was shown arrested in connection with that incident.
