Speakers at a webinar on Wednesday said there is no alternative to sending skilled female workers abroad to overcome the prevailing crisis in manpower export.
They were speaking at a webinar titled "Crisis and possibilities in recruiting female workers abroad" organised by the Recruiting Agency Oikkya Parishad.
The speakers also laid emphasis on job assurance from foreign employers as well as the guarantee of stopping torture.
There has to be an agreement between both countries keeping the employers accountable for any ill-treatment of the workers, they said.
Recruiting Agency Oikkya Parishad Chief M Tipu Sultan presided over the occasion where Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA) Secretary Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury Noman addressed as chief guest.
Besides, Mahjabin Khaled, former lawmaker; Shahidul Alam, Additional Secretary to Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment; Maulana Yaqub Sharafati, Senior Vice President of Haaj Agencies Association of Bangladesh; among others, spoke.
