The government has issued a notice announcing a five-day extension of the ongoing lockdown, considering the current Covid-19 pandemic situation.
During this period, all factories and industries will be out of the purview of the restrictions, the notice said.
Also, all domestic flights will operate in accordance with health guidelines.
The notice was issued by the cabinet division on Thursday.
The current lockdown restrictions will continue till 12:00am on August 10.
Authorities concerned were asked to take measures in this regard.
Bangladesh went into a fresh lockdown since July 23, which was scheduled to end on August 5.
However, on August 3, the government decided to extend it by five days to August 10 as coronavirus infections and fatalities continued to rise.
