State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain lauded Quantum Foundation, a voluntary blood donors' organisation, for its contribution to blood donation in the country.

"Quantum is playing a role in building a healthy nation through safe blood. Not only meeting the demand for blood, but this blood donation programme of Quantum is also a great initiative of donor creation and self-satisfaction by serving others," the minister said.

Quantum supplies one-eighth of the country’s total demand for blood, working since 1996, the release added.
