FBCCI president Md Jashim Uddin on Thursday said the government did not do good job to increase fuel prices claiming the price hike in the international market.

"Now the government should decrease the fuel prices as the price has come down in the international market," Jashim also said in press conference at FBCCI auditorium in the capital.

The apex trade body arranged the press brief on the progress of bilateral trade expansion during the visit of the FBCCI delegation to the United Kingdom and France, as the entourage of the Hon’ble Prime Minister.

Jashim also added that there is a bad culture in Bangladesh. Once the price of a product increases, it is not reduced.

"However, we signed six MoUs with the apex trade bodies visiting in UK and France to expand trade and increase investment," he also informed.

Jashim said Bangladesh needs to go mainstream markets with diversified and quality products to increase exports volume.

"We have to increase local and foreign investment to tackle the challenges of LDC graduation. We have a good number of potential products including agro and agro processing products, light engineering, leather, Jute and IT etc," he added.
