The 16-day programme organised by Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries marking the golden jubilee of Victory ended on Thursday with fireworks display.
“Through this celebration, other organizations will also be interested in celebrating the Victory Day in the future,” said FBCCI President Md Jasim Uddin during the closing ceremony of the festival.
Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Md Atiqul Islam called upon all to build a beautiful country by paying homage to the three million martyrs and requested the audience to keep the city clean.
On December 1, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 16-day program titled "50 Years of Victory: Red-Green Festival".
On the occasion of Martyred Intellectuals Day, FBCCI also honoured nine organizations for their contribution in building Bangladesh after the war of liberation and independence.
