The hanging body of a female college student was recovered at Pashcimtora village in Thakurgaon.
The deceased was identified as Shahanara alias Shathi, 17, a first-year student of Government Moslemuddin College.
Shathi’s father, Ainul Haque, said his daughter went to her bedroom after having dinner on Thursday night as usual.
As she did not wake up in the morning, they broke open the door and found her body hanging from the ceiling, Ainul said.
The Officer-in-charge of Haripur police station Aurangzeb said they recovered the body once they were informed.
The body was buried without autopsy as the family had not filed any complaint, he said.
