Film director Kazi Hayat has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of a private hospital in Dhaka following a heart attack.
He was taken to United Hospital after he complained of chest pain in the early hours of Wednesday, Film Artistes Association General Secretary Zayed Khan said.
“Renowned director, producer and actor Kazi Hayat is in the ICU of United Hospital. Seeking dua from all for his quick recovery,” Film director Biplob Sharif posted on Facebook.
In another Facebook post, Kazi Maruf, son of Kazi Hayat, asked the countrymen to pray for his father’s recovery.
Kazi Hayat was admitted to the same hospital on December 9, 2021 as he fell ill. He was infected with Covid-19 earlier in March.
