A colour factory at Amulia Model Town in Banasree area of the capital caught fire on Monday night.
“The fire originated at 8:50pm,” said Mahfuz Riven, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence central control room.
On information, five firefighting units rushed to the spot and were still trying to bring the fire under control, he said at 10:20pm.
The reason behind the fire could not be known yet, the official said.
