A fire which broke out at BDBL Bhaban in Karwan Bazar area of the capital city on Sunday morning has been doused.
Duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room, Russel Shikdar said the fire broke out on the 18th floor of the 19-storey BDBL building around 6am and spread soon.
On information, four firefighting units went to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 8am.
The origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
The extent of loss caused by the fire could not be known yet.
