A fire that broke out at a slum in Uttara's Dakkhin Khan area on Saturday was doused within an hour.
The fire started at the slum in Modhubag, Master Para area, Fire Service and Civil Defence control room said in a daily update.
Firefighters were notified of the fire at 06:44pm. On information, four firefighting units were sent to the area.
They brought the fire under control at 07:45pm, another update from the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room said.
