A fire that broke out at a garment factory at the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) industrial area on Monday in Narayanganj’s Fatullah has been doused, the authorities said.
The fire broke out at Fakir Apparels Ltd around 10:30am, Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Deputy Assistant Director (Media) Shahjahan Sikder told UNB.
On information, ten firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze at 11:25am, he added.
No casualties were reported in the fire incident.
The reason for the fire and the extent of the damage could not be confirmed immediately, said the fire official.
